Despite weather delays and shared resourcing challenges, which were successfully navigated through strategies such as labour-sharing with other projects and redesigning fire separation plans, Alliance Building & Construction accomplished the construction of two long-stay townhouses attached to the existing office structure.
Overcoming obstacles through design modifications, effective communication, and regular four-week lookahead planning, the project achieved notable successes, including collaboration with YouTurn to create a pamphlet encouraging subcontractors to contribute to the community through initiatives like cost-plus arrangements, donating time and resources, or providing financial donations. Additionally, we expanded the project scope, incorporating changes such as a staff room kitchen redesign and fireproofing adjustments, yet still delivered the entire project under budget and within the established timeframe.
