This project involved the demolition of an outdated fi tout and the redesign of the interior space to create four separate tenancies. The outdated front facade was transformed into a modern look frontage that blended in with the recently modernised buildings along the busy CBD street. Following the demolition stage, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical services were roughed in, and intertenancy walls were constructed using a mix of plasterboard and glazed partitioning. Grid and plasterboard ceilings were installed throughout to achieve a fresh look and feel for the new tenancies. New shared amenities were added on both levels of the building, featuring sheet vinyl flooring and wall sheeting, while the common areas were finished with polished concrete. The tenancies received new carpeted floor coverings.
The front facade was redesigned with a vertical timber grain finish and metal cladding to the topside, making it ready for signage. The front planter box was also landscaped to enhance the building’s appearance. The front of the building, above the new awning, received a painted render finish, while new paint was applied to the western and southern sides of the building. Overall, the project successfully updated the building’s appearance, making it more visually appealing and suitable for modern use.
