We undertook a Design and Construction (D&C) project to expand the current processing facility. This involved the installation of new blast freezers, cold rooms, and the reconfiguration of existing spaces to integrate robotic pouching functionality. The comprehensive scope encompassed a site-wide enhancement of electrical and refrigeration systems, enabling future site expansion and enhancing overall efficiency through the incorporation of advanced technology.
Notably, this project was successfully delivered amid the challenges posed by Covid restrictions. These challenges included difficulties in importing specialised equipment from overseas and coordinating labour from interstate, along with the typical disruptions in the supply chain. To adapt to these circumstances, constant design adjustments were made to accommodate available materials and ensure the project’s continuous progress.
